The game CALYPSO requires careful visio-spatial planning and is a really addictive brainteaser! There is not much space for errors! Your time for placing sliding pieces on a complex shaped grid is strictly limited. Are you tough enough to keep the overview? If yes, you will get the high score.

The Game How to play CALYPSO

The challenge for your visio-spatial sense: Cover areas of the same color on the board with falling pieces. Connected fields of the same color form an area. Choose the field on the board on which the piece shall be placed by clicking on the field. When an area is totally covered with pieces, it will be released from the pieces and the color of the area changes from white to yellow and from blue to orange. Now the area can be covered again. Black fields cannot be covered.

Take a break

The game can be interrupted, whenever you want, but the number of unplaced pieces within the level you are playing at that time increases by one

Valuation

For placing a piece: 1 to 3 points (depending on the number of fields of the piece) * level
For a released area: 10 points * the number of fields of the area * level
For a solved level: 500 points * level
Your actual score is always displayed.

Speed

There are ten different speeds. The speed of the falling pieces increases every 70 seconds. The tenth speed is the maximum speed.

How to reach the next level

When an area is totally covered with pieces, it will be emptied and the color of the area changes to yellow or orange. Now the area can be covered again. As soon as all areas have been released once, the level increases and the next board is shown. By reaching the next level, the number of unplaced pieces goes back to 0.

End of game

The game is finished, if ten pieces could not be placed within a level.
